American Dream Coalition:

Announcing the 8th annual
Preserving the American Dream Conference
Freedom and Mobility
Houston, Texas
May 16 - 18, 2008

We want to invite you to a very exciting conference being held here in Houston, May 16-18 at the Omni Hotel on Woodway Drive.

This annual conference, called "Preserving the American Dream," focuses on free-market approaches to urban growth, transportation and property rights issues. It has been held in major cities throughout the United States and has attracted a loyal following.

Nancy Wilcox will speak on Saturday, May 17th at the 3:40 PM workshop.
Co-Founder of FCOH, Nancy Wilcox will speak about the City of Houston’s building code Chapter 19 and its devastating effect on Houstonians. She will address the restrictions; how the city successfully passed the ordinance; why they wanted it and how the Floodway Coalition has mounted an offensive. Come and hear how other Americans have advocated for their constitutionally protected property rights as our governmental entities worked to violate them.

This conference has nearly four dozen speakers covering topics on zoning, congestion, transit, land-use regulation, property rights, and a wide variety of other topics. You will have an opportunity to take a tour that will illustrate development in a region relatively free of land use controls.

A full agenda is at: http://americandreamcoalition.org/Agenda08.doc

The cost per day is...
Friday tour: $25
Friday evening: $50
Saturday: $60
