City of Houston Comprehensive Drainage Plan
The City of Houston uses this online map to determine if properties are in the floodway when issuing building permits. Use the Parcels, Subdivisions, and Conveyance Zones layers on the right side to highlight key areas. Use the left toolbar to zoom and select your property. Once your property is selected, confirm your property information at the bottom of the page below the map. Floodway properties are in PINK. Be patient, the map is difficult to use.
